Carryover Velocity

Carryover Velocity:

Mist Eliminator form cured flows channels, the velocity of the flow in the bend causes the liquid droplets to be driven by centrifugal force against the outer surface of the profile and be separated. When the velocity of the gas is higher, the smaller droplet of gas stream will be removed. But when the velocity reach to certain value, the droplet which is already be removed will be carried over again, that means Mist Eliminator is out of the service. This is carryover velocity.
